The heavens had abandoned him.

Born beneath a blood moon, the child’s fate was sealed before he could even take his first breath. His meridians were shattered, his dantian a broken void incapable of holding even the faintest trace of spiritual energy. In a world where cultivation reigned supreme, where strength dictated status, he was nothing more than a cripple. A mistake. A forsaken soul.

His father never acknowledged him. His mother, too weak to protect him, could only weep in silence. The clan elders declared him a disgrace, his name erased from the family records before he even turned five. He was thrown into the outer slums, left to fend for himself among beggars and criminals.

But a child abandoned by the heavens… was not a child without will.
