Fear forces you to face the reality of it all, fear is the fuel that makes the flame of desperation burn brighter. 

"Desperation is like an unstoppable force." 

It drives people forward, no matter how tired they are. Desperation brings out the most in you, desperation opens doors that have never been opened before. Desperation is like a second chance.
