Reality can be harsh. Cold, unrelenting, but honest. It's enough to make anyone want to run away. Maybe to bury a past mistake, hide from who they once were, or try to live a fantasy life they feel they deserve. But attempting to escape will simply lead you to a different form of reality, one far crueler.

A young man on the run finds himself in this strange new world. A world ruled by savage monsters and people who label him as one. It should've been simple enough, fight to survive, to take what he wants and needs. But reality is always more complicated than that.

But he's not the problem, and he refuses to even humor that notion, the world's just unfair. Simple as that. So he's made the choice to do what he can to get back home regardless of the cost. But the weight of his decisions looms over him as he becomes more involved with those in this new world, the potential consequences becoming more catastrophic with each waking moment.

Will he be overwhelmed by this cruel world? Will he become the monster he believes he’s destined to be, or will he find a new path? 

A road not taken? It'll make all the difference in the world.
