The Land of Promise enjoyed seasons change summer, autumn, winter and spring. However, an enchantress hurt and betrayed by a powerful king cursed the land therefore dividing it into four regions where each season was contained. 

The people and their livestock suffered in each region known as the Summerlands, Autumnlands, Winterlands and Springlands and four rulers were chosen to bear their burdens, each ruling a court of their own. 

A prophecy by a seer foretells a union of a king and a queen who will lift the curse and restore the land to its natural state.

Princess Caroline daughter of the Winter Court is arranged to be married to the King of Summer at the price of maintaining peace between the warring lands. Torn between duty and desire, will the fiery nature of the Summer King strengthen her icy resolve or will she melt in a love that consumes her and succeed at lifting the curse over the land?
