The Legendary Monkey King, Sun Wukong, growing weary of the eternal stagnation he feels he is facing up in the heavens among the celestials decides to descend into the mortal world once more.

He figures trying to live a normal among the mortals will bring back some of his appreciation for what he has in the heavens or prove entertaining. Either would be better than listening to another opera hosted by the Jade Emperor while working to be on his best behavior.

Problem is, it's been a minute since he had last spent time in the mortal realm, and he didn't think to do some research first. What is this Ohio place he has found himself in? why were there people riding in metal boxes that move on their own? and by the Buddha, what is that stench in the air?

Will the Monkey King manage to live a normal life in the modern day? or will he go running back to the Heavens?
