Five years ago, the Abyss Gates shattered the fragile boundaries between Earth and the Realm of Shadows, unleashing horrors beyond human comprehension. Among these Rifters was Kael Draven, a D-rank warrior often derided as the "Gate's Dead Weight." Weak, penniless, and scorned for his lack of skill, Kael eked out a meager existence by braving the lowest-tier gates, dreaming of a life beyond his rank while barely surviving the dangers he faced.  

Everything changed on the day he stumbled into a Breached Rift—a forbidden zone that should never have existed. Cornered by a Shadow Behemoth and facing certain death, Kael was offered an impossible choice: perish or inherit the cursed Abyssal Core, a power whispered to corrupt any who dared to wield it.  

He chose survival.  

With the Abyssal Core now bonded to him, Kael discovered its whispers carried secrets no other Rifter could hear. This newfound power allowed him to wield both light and shadow, granting him the strength to transcend mortal limits and reshape the very fabric of the Abyss itself.  

From the weakest Rifter to the unstoppable Abyss Walker, Kael’s rise was destined to shatter all who dared to oppose him. In the realm of shadows, he was no longer the hunted. He had become the hunter.
