Shiro Kaname, the last mage of a dying world, watches helplessly as his universe is completely devoured by a cosmic force known as the Devouring Void. Despite all efforts, neither magic, technology, nor the gods of his world could stop this catastrophe.

Refusing to vanish without a trace, he performs a forbidden reincarnation ritual, sacrificing the last of his mana to escape through the flow of fate. He has no idea where the spell will take him, but it is his only chance at survival.

When he opens his eyes again, he finds himself in a new world, in a younger and weaker body than his previous one. However, he quickly realizes that this world operates differently: here, magic is governed by a Status System, a concept unknown in his former universe.

Stripped of his former power and lost in an unfamiliar land, Shiro has only one goal: understand this world, regain his strength, and uncover the mysteries of his existence.
