The smile of the ‘Queen’ thickened as she heard people applauding and cheering behind her. She looked down at her captive while grazing her thin neck with a bloodied sword. 

“Always remember,” she gently cooed, leaning closer to the captive. “The crowd that applauded your coronation is the same crowd that is applauding for you to lose your head.”

A wry smile painted the face of the captive as she nodded, “People like a good show.”
