What is death but the end of a journey? A cold, unforgiving conclusion to life’s struggles, dreams, and betrayals? Or could it be a doorway, a beginning, a path forged in darkness that leads to something greater? 
In a world ravaged by dimensional rifts and the monstrous entities that pour from them, the line between life and death is often blurred — but for Xavier, death was the spark that ignited his true purpose.  
Xavier was an unremarkable Riftguard recruit, determined to protect the fragile remnants of humanity from the encroaching chaos. 
But his aspirations were cut short when his own teammates turned on him, leaving him to die amidst the chaos of a breach. Betrayed and alone, his life ended in agony. Yet, that was not the end.  
Awakening in the void, Xavier is confronted by a mysterious presence offering him a second chance — not as a human, but as an undead bound to the Undead System. 
With each enemy defeated, Xavier’s strength grows, and his form evolves, granting him power that surpasses mortal limits. But such power comes with a cost, as the remnants of his humanity fade with every step further into the abyss.
