But destiny intervenes when a violent avalanche traps them together in the icy depths of the mountains. The storm leaves them with no escape and nowhere to hide. For the first time, Freyr and Tor come face to face, and the truth cannot be avoided: Freyr’s forbidden hunger and Tor's dangerous intrigue blur the lines between the predator and the prey.

Excerpt from Alpha Tor's POV:

“So, you’ve been pretending to keep a distance but here you are,” Tor’s deep growl echoed in the icy cavern. His golden eyes caught the flicker of torchlight, his breath misted in the freezing air, curling like smoke between them. 

The figure across from him stiffened, pale as moonlight, eyes sharp and predatory, the vampire stepped closer, but not too close. He was cautious and calculating. “What gave me away?” Freyr’s voice was low, smooth yet filled with a low hiss that escaped his mouth.

Tor laughed a deep rumble that shook the cavern walls. “You reek of desperation. Do you think I didn’t notice your scent clinging to the trees? Are your footprints melting the frost? What is it, vampire? What do you want from me?”

Freyr’s jaw clenched, but his gaze didn’t waver. “Your blood,” he admitted finally, his voice sharper now. “Your kind is... intoxicating. Forbidden. I can’t stop myself.”

The admission sent a chill down Tor’s spine—not from fear, but something far more dangerous. He should’ve torn this vampire apart the moment they were alone. But here, under the weight of the mountain and Freyr's unrelenting gaze, his desire rose, and he chose to get closer to him.
