"This… this can't be right," Kain muttered, staring at the towering obsidian castle before him. "The academy… I pictured a Hogwarts-like experience, not a military base!" He stood before the imposing structure, a mixture of awe and impending doom settling in.

Armed with only the faintest recollection of the novel's plot, Kain has no idea what to expect. All he knows is that he’s not the protagonist. He’s not the villain. He’s not even the comic relief. 

He’s just there, and in a world that thrives on destiny, being “just there” is a guaranteed ticket to the bottom of the food chain.

It’s a dangerous world, and Kain’s not here for a tragic death or a heroic arc. He’s here for one thing: survival. No need to become a legend.

he is just an extra with the supremacy to carve out his own path, rewrite his own fate, and maybe, just maybe, come out on top when the dust settles.
