In the mechanical metropolis of Archaxia, where steam powers the streets and fate runs like clockwork, Alaric Drozdov awakens to find himself cast as the villain—again. After countless lives ending at a hero's hands, he finally remembers the truth: he's trapped in a cycle engineered by the Chronolith, the mysterious system that controls the city through predetermined stories.

Now, Alaric must navigate a dangerous game: playing the villain while secretly working to break the cycle. But as he gathers unlikely allies—including the very hero destined to kill him—he discovers that defying fate has consequences.
