Arya, a top assassin in California, is betrayed and killed by her best friend during a mission. She awakens in the body of a baby, abandoned at a doorstep in Kron, a world ruled by werewolves. Determined to seize this second chance at life, Arya dreams of peace and happiness—but fate has other plans.  

In Kron, every werewolf shifts on their 18th birthday. But when Arya fails to transform, she becomes an outcast. Abandoned by her friends and betrayed by her lover, she is branded as worthless. When a tragic murder plunges Kron into a deadly drought, the elders decree a werewolf sacrifice is needed to lift the curse. Arya is chosen as the scapegoat.  

Her only family, an old woman who raised her, sacrifices herself to save Arya. Devastated and on the run, Arya unknowingly makes a wish for strength under a towering tree and suddenly fell into a deep slumber. When she awakens, she continued her journey out of Kron. 

Later on she discovers an extraordinary power: the ability to take on the abilities of others.  

Fueled by grief and vengeance, Arya sets out on a journey across kingdoms of vampires, witches, and the undead, amassing powers to build a world where she will reign as queen. But as she grows stronger, so do the enemies who seek to destroy her. Can Arya carve out her place in a world that once cast her aside—or will she lose herself to the darkness within?
