Roger knew this, which is why he tried to commit his life to one of the mundane. All he needed was a little bit more stirring in the quicksand to finally get onto dry land, and he could finally put his work behind him for good.

Maria, a shark in a sea of sharks, fights her own battles as she tries to secure a seat on the corporate elevator, maybe drawing too much attention to herself in her hunger.
