"Adrian, where's my gown?" Mia asked with tension in her voice.

She couldn’t believe Adrian was still sitting calmly among the guests, seemingly unbothered and hadn’t even changed yet.

"Mia," Adrian looked at her with slight confusion. "What dress?"

"Are you kidding me?" Mia raised her voice. "My wedding dress!"

Adrian was dumbfounded, his mind trying to process her words.

Today was Thanksgiving and his entire family was gathered in their home. From the corner of the room, he could clearly see their teenage son laughing and bickering with his cousins.

"Mia!" Adrian said again, he stood up and looked at her closely.

"Why are you even here?" Mia snapped. "Everyone is waiting already. Where-is-my-dress?"
