In a world ravaged by endless wars and conflict, there emerges a legendary hero, Aeris, known as the God of Sword, feared and revered for his unmatched swordsmanship. With his colossal sword, capable of shattering entire mountains with a single strike, Aeris becomes a living legend in the eyes of both allies and enemies alike. For years, he fights on the battlefield to bring peace to the war-torn lands. Finally, after a long and bloody conflict, Aeris faces the Dark King in a final battle, where with a mighty blow, he brings an end to the war and the chaos that once consumed the world. Yet, the victory leaves him hollow inside.

Though celebrated by the people, Aeris does not crave praise or glory. The peace he brought comes with the heavy burden of leadership, and the heroic feats that made him a savior of nations leave him burdened with the responsibility of ensuring the future. As a reward for his sacrifices, King Leonte grants Aeris a vast, prosperous land and the noble title of Duke, an honor befitting a hero of his stature. But Aeris finds no joy in this title. As the king grows old, the task of choosing the next ruler of the kingdom falls upon him, as King Leonte's seven sons each vie for the throne. Each prince has his own strengths, but also fatal flaws. The dilemma now lies with Aeris, who is tasked with determining which of these princes is worthy of ruling and ensuring the future of the kingdom, a kingdom which, ironically, Aeris wishes to leave behind.
