Kael's life ended in a blur of misfortune—but death wasn't the final chapter. Instead, he wakes up in the world of Erendath, a realm he once only knew from the MMORPG Ascension: The Path of the Reborn. But this isn't a game anymore. The dangers are real, the pain is unrelenting, and the rules have changed.

Awakened with a mysterious and powerful class called the Rebirth Core, Kael finds himself thrust into the heart of a dark and twisted world. Every threshold level he gains unlocks new overpowering abilities—but also awakens monstrous Darkspawns, creatures from the abyss who are drawn to him, hungry for destruction.
