The rain didn't stop pouring as the night slowly became darker, I knew I acted on impulse but at this point there was no going back, going back would mean surrendering my life back to torture and captivity.
I couldn't go back after coming this far. I wiped off the rain on my face and headed straight down the alley. At this point, I knew I've made a terrible mistake.
The alley was quietly dark and all I could hear was the smell of cigarette and distant footsteps. Am I to run back to my boss, am I to keep pushing, maybe, but it was an alley with a dead end.
