After a violent gang member named Jack Ingof dies in Chicago, a bored god decides to reincarnate him into the Marvel Universe for entertainment. When Jack plays the god's slot machine and gets blank cards, the god chooses his new life and powers - he'll become Franklin Saint, cousin to Peter Parker, and get Spider-Man's abilities.
Born in Los Angeles in 1996, Franklin grows up unaware of his past life as Jack. Living with his parents Marcus and Lisa Saint, he experiences the early events of the MCU firsthand - from Tony Stark's kidnapping to the revelation of Iron Man. But everything changes when his parents die and he moves to New York City with his Uncle Jerome and Aunt Gloria. Franklin gets bitten by a genetically-altered spider, granting him spider like abilities. When Uncle Jerome dies, Franklin must figure out what to do with his new abilities in a world where superheroes are becoming real.
