Melford is a wizard-in-training with zero talent and far too much enthusiasm. When he accidentally turns his own pet dragon into a toaster and his mentor's favorite slippers mysteriously grow legs and walk away, Melford gets sent on a "simple" mission to fetch a magical flower said to grant immense wisdom. Predictably, being Melford, things go horribly awry. He manages to turn the whole of the Enchanted Forest into one big bubble, inadvertently convinces a talking owl he's some famous chef, and-oh yeah-the flower he's supposed to pick? It's actually some living, sarcastic plant that insults him at every turn. But Melford doesn't give up, mostly because he's too thick-headed to realize just how bad things are.
