Lane looks at Shane, his mirror twin. They have the same look as they realize they are yet again starting another school. This is the seventh time in ten years. Ten years ago their parents were killed in a house fire and they were somehow able to get their small six year old bodies through the pet door and get to the neighbor's house.
Since then they bounced around from home to home, some horrible and some were bearable. The one before the Loopers was the worst. Both Lane and Shane had unspeakable things done to them and now can't sleep without the other. They are able to calm each other by being near the other. This is how they have come to share everything and have pretty much become one person with two bodies. Will their new home bring healing or disaster? Will the twins continue using the other to soothe or will they find someone to open up too?
