In a world of endless white—a blank canvas where time does not exist—something begins. Little Lu awakens with no memory of who or what she is. She is not human, yet she looks the part. She is not whole, yet she exists. Alone in the vast void, she wanders aimlessly until she stumbles upon an unlikely companion: Al, a sentient book buried halfway in the ground, brimming with knowledge from worlds beyond this empty expanse.

At first, their relationship is simple. Al teaches, and Lu learns. He shows her emotions, fairy tales, and the secrets of faraway lands and forgotten eras. But as Lu grows—against all reason in a world without time—her questions deepen. Why am I growing? What am I? Who made me? Each lesson Al shares seems to spark a new mystery, and Lu begins to wonder if Al knows more than he’s willing to tell.

There are far more from her origin, yet she is learning and gain more conscious of her existence. 

And then, she questions again, something that come crashing down like a storm. “Am I something broken? A mistake?” she asks Al. He tries to calm her with tales of gods and their cherished creations, but the truth lingers in the silence between his words.
