A world plunged into chaos. The sun never shines with full brightness, and shadows lurk. Crows and vultures feast on the corpses as the few survivors fight for their lives. The kingdoms of humans, elves, and dwarves, allied for decades, are forced to coexist with monstrous magical beasts… and the most terrifying of all: the nightmares, commonly known as demons.

For over thirty years of endless war, ten emperors managed to unite the races to face the demonic threat and the dragons, creatures of incalculable power. But the peace that followed was fleeting. The ten empires flourished, but the emperors' thirst for power became unbearable.

The Sun Emperor, the most powerful of them all, ruled with wisdom, but his growing power awakened the envy of the others. The remaining nine, seeking their own supremacy, made a pact with the demons and unleashed a new war. In their desperation for more power, they sought to seal themselves, trusting that the chaos they would unleash in the future could be even more devastating.

Only the Sun Emperor could stop them, but his decision was a difficult one: let the demon army ravage the continent or seal the nine, facing the eternal dilemma of whether to trust the future or not. In the end, he chose to seal them, hoping that future generations would have the strength to confront the demons' awakening… but nightmares always find a way to escape.
