The Serpens Family has been the reigning criminal organization in all of Nevada, having generations of success with an empire of riches and corpses. Though just as with any other structure, a hierarchy must be upheld in order to maintain rules. 

So when the head of the family dies, it was only natural that someone fills the position of leader. Two powerful men who each held warring factions serving the Serpens, were determined to seize the throne for themselves. 

What they didn't expect, was the head placing in his will that the next leader can only be chosen by his last surviving biological child who happened to be hidden up until his recent death.
