When you picture the apocalypse, the end of civilisation, what comes to mind?

Maybe it’s a scorched earth, covered with craters and mushroom clouds from distant explosions.

Perhaps it’s dilapidated camps full of hooligans and outcasts, murdering each other for sport.

Possibly a nuclear winter, with mutated remnants of what used to be humans, reduced to mindless horrors.

For our main character, however, the apocalypse is a mystery, waiting to be unraveled through exploration and survival.
