"No," she replied softly. "I find peace in the chaos."

As the months passed, they met more often, sometimes by the sea, other times in the dusty corners of his bookshop. Their bond grew, quiet yet undeniable, like the steady rhythm of the ocean waves. 

One night, under a blanket of stars, Thomas took her hand. "Lily, I never knew silence could speak so loudly," he said. 

She smiled, her heart full. "It was always there," she whispered. "We just needed to listen."
