Meredith, the shy but bubbly nineteen year old dies in an unexpected fire accident, leaving her grandmother who has Alzheimer's and her single mother all alone. She however transmigrates into the body of twenty four year old Piper, an alleged criminal who was framed for stealing a diamond necklace. Meredith joins hands with Piper's boyfriend, Mason, as they both escape from armed men chasing after them because of the stolen necklace. Together they navigate and investigate the sudden mystery (robbery). Meredith disguises herself as a caretaker to look after her grandmother who practically had no one to attend to her. She then discovers hidden secrets, where all the people she thought loved her were only liars, including her sister and friends, and they were somewhat involved in the necklace robbery and the fire.
Mason, on the other hand, has had a lonely childhood. He was abandoned at a very young age and never got the love he desired even from his girlfriend, Piper.
When he meets Meredith, everything changes, even for Meredith. They both find true love in each other, but that love comes hand in hand with losing something valuable. And every happiness they wished for had to be paid with the price of losing something special.
