Astor Valenford was born a noble, the second son of a prestigious family of dukes. Many might think he was born with a silver spoon, but the reality was quite different. At the tender age of ten, Astor witnessed a younger brother challenge the talent of the Valenford's firstborn. It was then that his mother decided to end the life of that young son of hers, to pave the way for her eldest son. Upon witnessing this, Astor realized the cruel reality and that his only means of survival was to avoid being a threat to his older brother. Thus, Astor lived for years, acting uselessly—at least, until news arrived that changed his objectives.
