Lyra's dreams were painted in shades of turquoise and emerald, the colors of the river that held her heart captive.  
In those dreams, she saw him again – the boy with warm brown eyes, the boy who had promised to return.  He was a whisper in the wind, a phantom in her memories, a dream she clung to with a fierce hope.  But as the years passed, the line between reality and dream blurred, leaving her wondering if the river's promise was just a beautiful illusion.
