Life, to some, can seem like an implosion on the atomic level, but that couldn't be more true when everything goes to shit. Who would have thought that the world would end; that everything I loved would shed its meaning as I'd have to watch everyone I knew crash and burn an indescribable amount of times.

Maybe, I thought, it was just meant to play out like that when you hold the powers of a God: The ability to rewind time. Something I didn't take into account, though, was the fact that I was no deity; thus, caveats to my unique ability came about - I wasn't able to control when time would rewind.

It was funny, really: someone with immense power and potential had fallen low enough to give up; I had thrown away hope. The most humorous part about that was the fact that I could change that, I could stop the Salk's invasion - save those who were still alive; maybe that was why the thing that gave me my power appeared Infront of me and offered me a bet.
