An ordinary young man who acted on instinct and sacrificed what was most valuable to him, even though he himself did not recognize its value.
However, the gods witnessed his sacrifice and offered him a second chance. A new chance for him to reach his potential, and perhaps discover his worth.
His first experience in the new world is not at all pleasant and he finds himself facing ambitious and cruel creatures, terrible and powerful monsters... and the gods who increasingly interfere in the mortal plane.
Choices must be made.
Sacrifices must be made.
Wars must be fought.
Wars must be won.
The world plunges into a chaotic spiral of blood, death and destruction.
Heroes emerge to protect the weak. To oppress the weak. 
After all, what differentiates a hero from a tyrant?
