Imagine a story that's not some garbage Chinese novel. Now hold that thought and merge it with this:

Levi, a 15-year-old who desperately lies about his age, adding a year to it just to seem more mature, woke up from his bed and is already welcomed by his parents' constant arguments

His mother, a caring woman, tried to understand and respect his son's wishes - to live a normal life. While, his father a corporate man entangled in big dealings, is completely in disbelief that his son should remain at home.

According to tradition of the time, all teenagers, both boys and girls, are expected to begin training as Reapers because spiritual activities where increasingly causing harm and dangers to the civilians of the region. Levi wanted a normal life and so did his mother, but this disagreement with his father led to nothing close to a normal life.

Constant screams, sounds of shattered vases, and much more. Levi couldn't even sleep at night. Well, he got fed up, packed his bags and headed out to get training at the academy. His father encouraged him and his mother wanted nothing more than to respect his child's wishes.

His life at the academy was nothing to laugh about but he grew to like it and...

I'll stop the synopsis there. Follow his journey in the first chapter. Give it a try, it's a promising novel.
