Haruki Tenryu is an 11-year-old boy known as a spoiled brat, often causing chaos around him. He lives with his father and childhood friend, Michiko Tachibana, in the village of Morinaka in Hazan Nation. One day, during the village festival, they are attacked by fearsome beasts, resulting in the deaths of everyone in the village. Haruki's father, gravely injured and drawing his last breaths, reveals a secret to Haruki: he possesses a rare gift known as the BeastMaster Ability. His father instructs him to find Ryuji in the Kaze Shan Mountains.
