A 27-year-old journalist from Old Wood Town, Eathen once met a girl named Maria. Time passed, and as they prepared for marriage, a tragedy, "The Old Wood Tragedy", occurred, which led the whole town into misery; half the residents died, and those who survived lost their minds. The only person able to recover was Eathen and the only person nowhere to be found was Maria.
For three years, Eathen was in a coma. When he came out of the coma, the first thing that greeted him was a letter, a letter with Maria's name on it.
He returned to the Old Wood, the letter asked him to.
