Sandile, one of kin, offers to help her make her start in Pretoria's promising doors. Doors of hopes and opportunities. But brought up from unspoken mete, she faces obstacles mirroring her very self. 

Siyo never wants to go back. Never wants to think back. Things turn against her when her lack of trust in people proves to be forever tied to her, and mutual bonds broken.

 And bad luck seems to follow her yet again, this time, by the literal burden of her kindness. When someone forgets a diary of theirs at the store she works at, she decides to return it to the owner. Especially since the book spawns unnatural creatures out of thin air.

In her dependence, Siyolise discovers the dark side of the south side the hardest way imaginable. It is Sandile's controlling girlfriend that Siyolise is then forced to take cover elsewhere supported by the minimum of her earnings.

Hope can always become lost, but humanity outshines bad. Who needs a hero when a clumsy guy's got your back?
