Huo Yan and Shui Lian are ordinary boys and girls who grew up together and married in a village to the east. On the day of their wedding, blessed by all their neighbors, they are suddenly taken away by passing immortals who were short two people to meet their servant quota.

Terrified and helpless, their peaceful mortal lives are abruptly interrupted by the whims of someone else's inconsiderate desires. Forced into a world of karma and conflict with the heavens, despite never wishing to provoke them, they long for the simple life they once had.

As they recall the past four years, Huo Yan and Shui Lian fall into a dream land, waiting for the next day to arrive.
