Long ago, before the world was consumed by darkness, there existed a heart—a powerful artifact known as the Ancient Heart. It was the source of all life, keeping the balance between worlds. The barrier that kept malevolent creatures from other dimensions at bay crumbled, and these monsters, born from nightmares, invaded, pushing humanity to the brink.
In the wake of this catastrophe, a new order emerged. People began to awaken to strange powers between the ages of 3 to 9, abilities that allowed them to fight back against the horrors that now roamed the earth. But not everyone was so fortunate. Those who failed to awaken were branded as the Forsaken—the powerless, the weak, the forgotten. They were relegated to the lowest rungs of society, despised and abandoned.
Kai was one of the Forsaken. Born in the desolate outskirts of a once-great city, he had known only suffering and despair. Orphaned at birth, uneducated, and struggling to survive, Kai had always been at the mercy of those stronger than him.
