The world consists of 7 classes.
-celestial.        -Exorcism
-spellcasting.  -Humanity
-martial arts.   -Mystical
-summoning
During the demon- exorcist war only the demons took part in the battle as the other classes considered it not their duty. When the war reached its climax ,the council held a meeting on the world's current status. It was noted that the number of exorcists coincided with that of the demons;showing that for each exorcist there was a demon. They saw a chance to finally get rid off the class as the Exorcists had for long been the highest ranking class. This led to the mass worldwide persecution of the class. 3000years later,the world had become more settled and no longer saw the class as a threat. 
Taiki Ishiko is a 17 year old highschooler in Tokyo who belongs to the exorcist class. He and the rest of team Aka use their abilities to protect the city against ghouls. He has a goal of getting stronger so as to protect everyone close to him and the city himself,not knowing what is in stored for him.
