"Never fall alone." Taking those words to heart, was a young soldier. The battle stormed on as reinforcements from both sides arrived.

Left and right, allies and enemies alike, fell. Before long, each side was exhausted; the atmosphere was moist in blood, and the air stenched of corpses. The young soldier shouted out in determination as he realized his allies were losing. 
The young soldier and fellow soldiers watched as his enemies shouted gleefully; reinforcements had come. 

The battle would not end to their liking. 
"For the kingdom!" A friendly soldier shouted.
"For our friends!" Another voice screamed. 
"For our families!" One echoed. 
"For our lives!" One ended. 

Then, the chanting soldiers were plowed through, limbs dismembered, heads decapitated, and lives destroyed. But still, the young soldier stood strong; his sword was tall, and his spirit was wild.
