Omezy

"Living is hard but dying is easy." Those were the last words, my father said to me before he was killed defending the village from an awakened beast. I never knew what true pain felt like until the hunters brought back the remains of the dead.  My mother and I watched as they pulled the cart through the village square and my dad wasn't among those walking back. I heard the thump as my mother fell to her knees and cried as tears streamed down my face. Soon the square was filled with a cacophony of pain and despair.
