The Outskirts of Atressa are riddled with crime and desperation, a pit of chaos were conspiracies and cover ups are as common as the mutant rats. But where there is chaos, there is opportunity, for those bold enough, or mad enough, to seek it.

Regan Harkless was born in the Outskirts, where he lived as stable a life you can there, until half his family was taken in a car accident. Now Tribute is due, he's low on food, and his remaining family is lost in despair. He has one advantage, an implant that allows him to access the System, making him of the feared and respected Users. But he's still the lowest rank, and is forced into a life of crime to pay for his debt. 

Now he has a goal, to rise through the ranks of both the System and his gang, through a story of violence and murder, in a city were secrets are hidden under every rock, and perhaps to the truth of the car accident that changed him from just another Outskirts boy, into a User who will do anything to win.
