In an era of medical and technological advancements, man brought a deadly apocalypse upon themselves. 

More than half their population were rendered "infected", with no hope for a cure and yet the persistence of greed to control these biennial creatures.

Abigail and her son, Peregrine, have been on the run of her father's hot pursuit, who requires Peregrine's blood to achieve first control of the infected and have his army.

Peregrine, together with his band of friends, learn to live in a world filled with constant warfare, where survival is everyone's priority, to the extent of betraying one another. No - one is safe in this world.
