The end of the world, never came as humanity thought it might. It didn't flood from the Icecaps. It didn't die from a solar flare or the moon breaking to pieces. It dried up.

Somehow, in the year 2048, the water on the earth seemed to dry up completely. The surface was covered in deserts and humanity was reduced to groups of nomads, searching for any water sources possible.

By the year 2062, Alex Monroe was the last human nomad. The desertification of the earth only grew worse over the years, not even leaving the moisture in the air.

The amount of surviving organisms in this environment could be counted in the triple digits. And yet, this was a moment that changed everything. This was the moment the Wave passed though everything.
