Lettie didn't need anyone's help but her own to survive and support her brother. She was born into this world with nothing and would leave with nothing. 

The same, however, could not be said about Lady Belladonna Hyacinth, the esteemed and cruel sister of Duke Hawthorne Hyacinth, and also the anticipated fiancee of His Majesty, the Emperor. 

In the Empire of the Everlasting Sun, there was a saying: Do what you must, come what will. If only it could comfort her when she woke up to find herself not only at the Emperor's side, but also within the delicate body of his wretched bride-to-be. 

Perhaps, instead, she could find comfort in the kindness of the Prince of the Moon Kingdom, but even he looked to the stars in search of an answer for Lady Belladonna's wickedness and harm. 

No one could ever look her in the eyes, and for once in her life, Lettie was known to be cruel. 

The cruel one, of course, had to be fate that toyed with her so...
