Kody Calelem has a hard life. With an abusive mom and the absence of his father, the only person Kody relies on is himself. To make matters worse, peers at his high school would constantly bully and ridicule him as the outcast of his class. Kody is the only person known to not have manifested an ability after the eligible age, which makes him a target for all kinds of hate. Usually, when children turn twelve, they are able to use a superpower unique to them. Nobody knows the true purpose for this power, so many abuse it. Kody finds himself in a whole new world of trouble when he finds out a supreme being has other plans for Earth than a happy ending. 
After being kidnapped for a week, Kody returns home to an unwelcoming glare from his mom. However, something feels different.
