I stood there frozen. My body forgot how to function.

 I silently sent a sincere apology to all those dumbass movie characters I bitched about, not knowing why they always stand there like a fucking invitation when the psychopath is still a good fifty metres away and the stupid targets are not having their asses on the run already. 

But now I know why. 

It's not because they don't want to try. It's because they know they're fucked no matter what. 

I always used to wonder about the logic behind this concept in every thriller movie. But today, I got the answer. 
As a good bye gift.

My mind was battling over two thoughts. 

Should I lift my head up and take a quick glance at the infamous hybrid Alpha King's face and then die a horrible yet satisfactory death.....

.....Or just control my dangerous curiosity and die in one strike. Much more peacefully.

Chances of survival is possible in neither of the cases. Might as well drench the thirst of my curious mind and die with the privilege of doing something even the strongest alphas fear to do. 

Without thinking any further I quickly lifted my head and looked straight. 

A pair of sapphire coloured eyes looked straight through my Onyx ones. 

Shit!
