Briar KingBird is a 17 year old junior at Skaijin Academy. New school, in the middle of the semester, she has always stayed to herself, not caring for the company of others. Being smarter than your average junior, possessing both the 'Ever Nerd' gene and the jock gene, Briar hasn't had the easiest time with making friends.

Rei Styles is an 18 year old senior at Skaijin Academy with a dark secret. Captain of the football team, was the life of any party, and was dating the Captain of the volleyball team. When he meets Briar for the first time, he knew there was something special about her, but when he finds out why she is special, he is drawn to her like a moth to a flame. 

Briar had always believed in ghosts, reincarnation, and destiny or fate, but when she was slapped in the face that there's more to the world than she was taught. When Rei and a couple others were caught phasing into wolves, Briar knew she wasn't in Kansas anymore.
