A good thief doesn’t just steal, he leaves something behind so the mark doesn’t notice. 

But you can’t steal a childhood without the person noticing. It may be slowly or all at once. 

For Vic, it was one moment that crashed down on her in the darkness of a room with no windows. Her life changed that moment, marked with scars and nightmares of horrors that would never leave. 

Worst part is, she wasn’t alone. Others had to go through that as well. People who didn’t deserve it. Kids who shouldn’t have been there. 

But they were. And Vic knew she had to protect them. No matter what.
