Mei is a seamstress  dreaming of portraying her works beyond her village walls , she's born to a very selfish woman and has a mean sister who didn't appreciate her in any way . She spreads love everywhere she went  believing that her family would change . On the other hand , her village is scheduled and isolated and it has a very disturbing secret  , not everyone knew  in depth  about it . They were half shifters who chose their mates through love and not the bond . Those coming of age face difficulties in shifting almost every year under an unplanned cursed night, Thus not everyone survives during the shifting process , They do not take pride of their true forms  making their whole village weak . 
Mei hasn't reached of age yet , but it all changes one night when their village is attacked and forced to become slaves of an evil king when their secret was put open and exposed to the king and the power they didn't know they withhold . In the palace , The king falls in love with Mei not knowing fully that she is bound  to use him to bring the downfall of his kingdom with the help of a vampire king who is also an enemy of the king who she falls in love with . 
Life in the palace made Mei stand strong and change from the most caring to the devil in disguise caring nothing but resentment to everyone around her until that one fateful day she learns to control her torn heart , emotions and find her true mates that heal her broken heart  after dozens of death , feels of heartbreak .
