Areta only wished to give his father the best quality life since he got sick. Him, being the kindest person she ever knew, deserved to be happy even with death knocking at his door. That was all she wished and all she could give to him.

When she comes back home one day and find a group of robbers in their house, killing him to get all their money, she does what she can to protect his family, but die together with him.

Now, as a Soul waiting for her Cosmic Trial, Areta learns about the rules of the Soul Society, the next step in life.

1. Every Soul can die unlimitedly, but for every death, a random memory will disappear.

2. In order to strengthen the Soul, Perks and Quirks are given, allowing the use of magic to survive.

3. The only source of food in this world is a Soul's flesh and energy.

4. A Soul is bond to appear at Times will, meaning that people from all times can met at random.

5. A Soul will live forever and be attached to this world until all criteria is met.

With that knowledge, Areta makes a promise to herself: "I'll become the strongest Soul to protect my father from the same fate, and since I have the chance now... I will hunt my killers and make their Souls miserable for eternity. I'll rip every single memory from them with death, making them suffer more each time. They will pay with interest for what they did".
